【Genuine】 The Lesson of Folding Origami – The Instruction for a Three-dimensional Origami Frog

Hello! I’m Yonosuke, a writer of KARAKURIJAPAN! Today, I’m going to introduce origami, a traditional Japanese culture.

At this time, I’m going to introduce “Kaeru”, which means a frog in English.

The Instruction for “a Three-dimensional Frog”

As an instruction for origami frog, the most general one is what looks like the picture above. It leaps with the trick of the spring by pushing the part of its hip.
I often played with folding it when I was a child, as well as others.

It is made of origami, and it can leap like a real frog. It has a pretty innovative structure, but it is lacking in reality. It is good for children, but at KARAKURIJAPAN, we’re going to introduce the instruction for a bit more authentic frog.

This is the completion. How do you think? It is three-dimensional and has more reality.

It looks difficult to fold at first glance, but all of you can fold a frog like this if you fold firmly along with the exact instruction.

For both of those who’ve ever tried folding a frog with easy way as a child, and those haven’t tried origami so often before, let’s try folding this three-dimensional frog.
