Most of them are just one letter or idiomatic compounds. He has expressed them with suitable colors for them.

Every work is amazing and fascinating.

And at this time, he wrote one in different style!

How can I say, like it has a message to make people who see it think about something.

That is the work.

It says “What is the hand for? What is the hand do?”.

What thoughts did he put into the work?

I’ll explain how to write it with his thought.

How Mr. Nishimoto Wrote “What is the Hand for? What is the Hand do?”

I’ll explain it! Please watch the video to see details!

▲At first he wrote the letter “hand” with water. Put colors on it.

▲ He put yellow, purple, red and blue.

▲Then he wrote “What is for”. Same as “hand”, he wrote it with water, and then he put colors.

Personally, I think it looks a little dark overall. Why did he choose these colors?

▲He wrote “What does do”. Compared with “What is for”, it looks light.

▲He wrote question marks at last!

As always, I want to say my opinion, but I’ll show his explanation before it!

Please read it because it’s deep.

I’m working as a designer at Gutarabotchi,

and there is a painter named Maimai.

Her current goal is making picture books.

One of her books is named “What is the hand for? What does the hand do?”.

What is the hand for?

For example, a hand has a stuff, keeps the frame standing like that,

or strokes children’s heads.

On the other hand, if it’s misused, a hand causes a war.

This book says that a hand has various ways to use.

Then, what is my hand for?

My hand is for writing letters.

I’m keeping writing so that people who look my letter feel happy

as they think “That’s cool!” or “It’s cute.”, or give a little chuckle.

And I hope my hand becomes to be able to do that.

“What is the hand for? What does the hand do?”

What do you use your hand for?

As he said, you can stroke children’s heads, and make people happy like his works with your hand.

On the contrast, it can be a tool to injure people like a war.

That might be the reason why he put dark colors on “What is for”, and light colors on “What does do”.

Because we fortunately have hands, let’s use them to make someone happy like him!

The picture book “What is the hand for? What does the hand do?” hasn’t been for sale yet, Maimai will definitely make it so that everyone can read it. I wanna read!

Mr. Nishimoto always writes amazing works, and especially at this time, he wrote the work with deep message. It was amazing, too!

You can see other works by him through KARAKURIJAPAN! All of them are amazing! Please check them out!

Thanks to Mr. Nishimoto!
