calligraphy by a pen/how to write “kuzenzetsugo(first and probably the last) and what it means

Hello everyone in the world. I’m a writer of KARAKURIJAPAN. Mr. Karakuri.

This article will introduce “kuzenzetsugo” written by Ms. Maria, who is a calligrapher by a pen. The word sounds cool, doesn’t it? It sounds strong and powerful. However, few people use this word and know the meaning.

Please watch the video to see how to write it by a pen and its meaning!

Do you know what the meaning of kuzenzetsugo?

Actually, by the time I wrote this article, I hadn’t known the meaning. So I searched it. Let’s study Japanese!

Kuzenzetsugo is a historical idiom which means something had never happened before and haven’t happened since then. Recently, it means something have never happened before and will never happen after all.

Source:wikipedia

So it means something so rare that it has never happened before and will never happen after. Then it cannot be used so often. It may be “kuzenzetsugo” to use “kuzenzetsugo”. It is scarcely used in usual conversation. Have you ever used it before? For me, it’s “kuzenzetsugo”.

Does kuzenzetsugo have same meaning as “zendaimimon”?

By the way, if you are good at Japanese, you might wander if kuzenzetsugo and zendaimimon have the same meaning. Both meanings are below.

  • kuzenzetsugo: something had never happened before and haven’t happened since then
  • zendaimimon: something so rare that anyone haven’t heard it.

Like that. They are similar when compared, but they have an exact difference. Zendaimimon focuses on the past. Kuzenzetsugo focuses on both the past and the future. It looks small but is a big difference.

Things can’t be kuzenzetsugo because it WILL possibly happen if it is happening now. It is a kind of contradiSo we often say “this is zendaimimon” meaning “this has never happened before”, but we don’t say “this is kuzenzetsugo” meaning “this has never happened before and will never happen”. ction.

It’s called first and probably the last in English.

Surprisingly, even English have the words for kuzenzetsugo. It’s amazing. Even though it looks really Japanese, it can be English. I guess they also wanted an expression for something really rare.

However, it is seemed not to be used often even in English. I’ve never heard it in movies in English.

How did Ms. Maria write kuzenzetsugo?

I want you to watch the video for details, and I’ll also explain it here. That’s so cool. She wrote it well with good points of calligraphy.

▲It’s so cool even in progress. It’s well designed differently from normal calligraphy. And personally, I think someone who write beautiful letters also has beautiful hands. She wrote it without any hesitation.

▲Completed! Cool! Romanization below is also cool. It looks like a deathblow. It might have a wave motion gun.

▲Amazing! Ms. Maria is really beautiful as you can see. This beauty is exactly kuzenzetsugo. These cool letters were written by such a beautiful woman. This gap is also kuzenzetsugo.
